Does lantus cause hair loss?

Chianti is missing tons of fur on his belly since starting lantus. Almost looks like he was shaved. I haven't seen him grooming much but he could be doing it at night.

Not usually. Such a reaction would be very very rare.
I suspect a licking problem but it could be due to a reaction to the Lantus or to a change in environment either chemically and behaviorally.

Hmm, he does HATE the shot. Ear prick no problem, shot comes with growling and biting.
