Does insulin become less effective as you reach the bottom?

Lucy is on Lantus, and I feel like every time I start getting towards the bottom of one of the bottles (have gone through about 15), her numbers start to creep up. No food change. I start a new bottle, and her numbers normalize. Does anyone else experience this?

I can't answer that. I use the pens as they are more economical an Olive on a higher dose we go through them quickly. Although the pen has less in it, the box of 5 in total has more than the one bottle. Since individual pen has less it doesn't lose potency.

How/where are you storing your bottles? Most people here have vials last five to six months, unless on a high dose, how long are yours lasting?
