Though nadir for 5udoes not look ideal but it seems 5.25u does not get as good results as 5u.
Any advice? Thanks.

The vet wants us to hold at 4u but we already went up to 5.25u. My hubby is not willing to let me increase. Very frustrated.

Your kitty needs more insulin ASAP...please increase soon. Does your hubby have his degree in feline endocrinology?

No he does not. He trusts the vet more. Sigh.

since Fa is on 5.25u now, I try to monitor the first few cycles in case it drops too low, so I normally do the increase on weekend. Do you think we can wait till Friday night to increase ? Or I worry too much ?

Here is your last link here http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/...-121-6-5-117can-i-sleep-without-worry.219073/ We include those links so people helping can easily see the history.

When we go over 5 units in dose, it’s OK to increase by 0.5 units at once. If you think about it as a percentage, 0.25 unit increase at this point is only a 5% increase, but for a kitty on 1 unit, it’s a 25% increase. A 5% increase does hardly anything.

I think you would be fine increasing earlier. If you had been seeing greens or low blues, different story. But you have just seen mid blues.

Thanks very much for the explanation. I have now more confidence to increase sooner. Was really frustrated.
