Last night we had some corn on the cob for dinner. Naturally, some of the husks go on the floor for the two insane civvies to play with (it beats them climbing into the bag with the husks and getting those damned hairs all over the place).......

So today I was in the porch crushing some cans and Peeps wanted to come out with me. She does this often enough that it's not out of the ordinary, but not often enough that it's a common occurrence, she has been terrified of the outdoors since she lost her eye. So I lifted her up to look out the window in the door and she decided she was all done, and by all done I mean being put back on the floor to explore more... So I told her it was time to go in and she made me chase her.

Alright then, Peeps is in a good mood.

That's when I see her sniffing the corn bag & she finds a piece of husk. I tell her "you better take your happiness down about 2 notches or I am going to test your blood!"

So what does she do? She starts playing with the corn husk

No out of the ordinary special numbers... Peeps is just in a good mood and diabetes nor cancer can do anything about it.

Awwww, what a cute picture! Corn husks sound like a kitty magnet, I can just picture them getting into the bag with silk and having a field day lol! Smart move to head that off at the pass. ohmygod_smile

We forget sometimes that they are, after all, kittens and want to do all that kits do. Mine love corn husks and will sit under the table in hopes of catching some before they go to compost ....

I have a long awaited thank you, for you. Long ago, on a Sunday morning you helped me in tech support with Payne's avatar, answered my questions and even re-sized it for me! You took time for me, a stranger, on a Sun. and I want to thank you ..... this is so what this board is all about.

I long ago learned that kitties are going to do what kitties are going to do. Sometimes though, just sometimes, you can create a less dramatic scene of destruction by allowing some destruction. They feel special, they make me laugh, they are special. I have one right now screaming at me from my doorway. I think it's time to throw her on her leash and let her barf all over my front step!

And Nancy, thank you for the thank you! I do like helping (you should see what volunteering has done to my ego), and if you ever need any other pics re-sized, or anything done for that matter, don't even think about not asking! Actually, that goes for any of you!!!
