Do you brush your cats teeth and with what?

I've been brushing my cats' teeth for a long time. Once I realized Mac had a sugar problem, I read the labels on everything and saw that the toothpaste has 2 ingredients. The first one listed is glucose oxydase. I looked it up and it appears to first appear in use as a glucose (if I'm understanding that correctly). So why would I use that on my cat's teeth? Anybody dealt with this before? What do you use to brush your cat's teeth. This tooth paste is CET.

Anything ending in "ase" is likely an enzyme which breaks down the name in the stem.
ie glucose oxidase means glucose - breaking down by oxidation - enzyme

So it is an enzyme which uses oxidation to break down glucose. Note that oxidation does not mean adding oxygen; it has a specific meaning in chemistry.

I am considering brushing Hannah's teeth, so I am glad this topic came up. Am I understanding this correctly? The C.E.T. toothpaste is safe for diabetic kitties because the glucose is broken down by oxidation? Just want to be sure before making a purchase. Heaven knows, my baby doesn't need any more problems. confused_cat
