DKA Survivors? Help in Health...

Anyone had a DKA kitty? Sherrie could really use some input. She's supposed to get an update at midnight (EST I think) but Pudgy is not responding to treatment.
The vet mentioned it being triggered by prednisone, but I don't get that...
