My cat, Moriko, has been having digestive problems. She's eating tiki cat shredded chicken with a little bit of hard food mixed in and it works most the time but it's too expensive. If I can't buy cheaper food I'll have to rehome her. $300 a month is too much on food alone. Does anyone know of a good digestive supplement I can add to fancy feast or some other cheaper food? No pills! She refuses to let anyone near her mouth

I get her food from a pet store. Tiki cat is $5.30 a can I think and she has a can every meal which is twice a day.

Are you in the US? If you want to keep her on the tiki, I definitely recommend chewy.com! MUCH cheaper, about $2.30 for the big cans. Petco has them cheaper as well. Has she ever been tested for any digestive issues like pancreatitis?

I know if my cat is feeling ill I can give her a bit of 100% pureed pumpkin (bought from the store in a can) mixed into her food to help settle her stomach/firm up her poops. I personally never noticed any increase in her BG while giving it to her, but I would definitely monitor to see if it changes for your cat. I also have seen some people add probiotics into their cats food to help with digestion, the one I have seen people mention is called fortiflora and can be purchased on amazon, I attempted that but Bella didn't tolerate it too well so I just stick with the pumpkin! Additionally, while I have no personal experience with it I know people who use something called slippery elm to help soothe their cats stomachs, I bet you could find some threads about it around if you are interested in it.

I know finding a good food for your cats can sometimes be so frustrating. My cat was diagnosed with IBD and was down to only 4 pounds before we figured out something that worked for her and did not completely break my bank. I wish you luck!
