Difference between Prozinc and Vetsulin

I haven't used Vetsulin, but my understanding is that Prozinc is a slightly longer acting insulin and it is much more gentle in action. Vetsulin seems to have a tendency to work fast and hard resulting in a steeper curve with higher highs, where Prozinc kicks in a little slower so results in a gentler curve. But then every cat is different, so this is a broad generalization. Some cats do just fine on Vetsulin.

Yes, Vetsulin is a harsher, faster acting insulin I believe. It would require more testing probably...if you were looking to switch insulins, I usually wouldn't suggest it. As SpotsMom said, some cats do very well on it, but we don't usually recommend it. :)
