Cassis has been syringe feeding for 3 1/2 weeks now on just puréed low-carb canned food with a little water and a bit of sauce from the Wellness Healthy Indulgence pouches for flavor. He has not been constipated so far, but he was on ampicillin, which probably kept his stools loose. He is now on enroflox injectable, and his BMs have firmed up. He hasn't gone for over 36 hours, so he got a little Miralax this morning. Some have recommended adding puréed pumpkin to the syringe mix, but we are not sure if this would be good for a diabetic cat. Would this be too high in carbs?

Pumpkin is good for diabetic cats. 100% pumpkin not the pie filling. You can add some to each meal. Smokey gets it in every fresh meal and I put miralax in the overnight meals in his feeder.
