Diet Change for Melty

So I gave Melty and my civie (Aggie) some wet food today.

Aggie was absolutely thrilled and could not get enough of it.

Melty seemed interested at first...but then seemed a little confused. He's only had wet food a few times and I went for a Merrick's Pate that was lower in carbs. He moreso just licked all of the juice off of it and walked away. He seemed really confused once he got it into his mouth and there was nothing to chew on. Hopefully he figures it out and learns to love it.

Will be monitoring closely tonight (every two hours until exhaustion kicks in).
 
Have you tried mixing a small amount of wet food with some of his kibble? Then you can gradually decrease the amount of kibble as he gets used to it. It might help him make the transition a little easier.

Yeah, I gave him Beef this time, and I've heard a lot of people say that their kitties aren't fond of it.

He seemed to like the taste, was just uncomfortable with the texture. So I'll mix his kibble in with it in the morning.
