Did my 1st insulin shot

I gave Rocky his 1st insulin shot yesterday. It didnt even seem to bother him at all. He is on 1 unit of Lantus once a day. I kid you not late last night and this morning he looked like he felt better already. You could tell in his eyes he was also moving his tail around when i was talking and petting him this morning. Then he went about grooming him self. I am also working on making a chart to keep track of his blood sugar level.

Congrats on your first shot and testing at home. How often are you testing? Please try at a minimum to test before each shot and one two hours after and another at +5-7 when possible or before bed. So strive to get 2-4 tests per cycle unless especially high.

Ok i just started testing him yesterday i tested before shot and 2 hours after. Thank you for the advice.
