I stopped by WalMart to pick up more lancets and commented about cats being able to get diabetes to the woman standing near me ... and she has a diabetic cat too. She hadn't heard of us, so I gave her the web address and we talked about how to test in a cat, and feline nutrition. I'm hoping she'll join - her first name is Deb.

Wow, I didn't know those were out there. Great!
A lady who used to work in our Nature Center is a vet tech here in town now, and I recently contacted her by email and 'splained the whole FDMB thing to her. She's going to talk to the vets there and feel them out as far as how they feel about home testing, insulin types, etc. Hoping to get a few local people on board, as well as a couple of vets, soon.

this is wonderful info to have....I have printed my bus. cards and flyer/poster for my vet....I have a friend that works there! tyty for sharing...

I cant seem to not talk cat and diabetes when I am standing in the front of the cat food shelf...no matter where I go

Suggestion for whoever makes the posters:

Put little tear-aways at the bottom with the name and website url. That way if someone sees it, they can rip off a little tear away so they can take the information home with them.
(Like when someone is selling something and you can rip a little tab off the bottom with the phone number)
