today was day 2 of mirataz with jellybean and tonight he had his first ever diarrhea. yesterday's was a little looser than normal. i didn't see it clearly listed as a side effect, although it's definitely listed under humans. It does mention vomiting for cats. I'm kinda suspicious since he seemed to be extremely tired all day as well, which is listed as another side effect. Has anyone else tried this with their cat?

Yes, quite often with both of my Cats especially with Corky, after 8 days hospitalized we left home with the Mirataz and thank God to that medication Corky began to eat he had lost almost 9 lbs. before I noticed there was something wrong less that 1-2 months after, I realized something was wrong, and of course the desperate need for water, he was never one to allow picking up. But yes, once I began putting the cream on the inside ear fold alternating ear each day, it was instant hunger, perhaps you are putting too much , is just like the amount of a tear drop and rub once a day until he starts gaining appetite, and there are times, that my Female cat Coco won't eat much for 1-2 days, I put the cream on the ear, and VOALA! next meal devoured, they never had diarrhea or vomiting due to the Mirataz, that has been my experience then again every cat is different and react different, but remember is just a tear drop, alternating er every day good luck:bighug::cat::cat:

well...that might be the problem...on the box it says 1.5" long smear on the ear. quite a bit more than a tear drop.

Most likely, remember consumer usage, the more you use the more you buy, try again, with a tear drop, I was also told to use a glove, otherwise you will be emptying your fridge. I cut one finger off the glove so my kiddos don't get scared seeing the full glove, and the just put that finger in the box to reuse :D:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:
