Diagnosed today

hi I am new here
Willow was diagnosed today. He most likely developed s this from pred from his ibd
My main question right now is do you need to give the same dose every day or can one day it differ.
I'm thinking about next week and thanksgiving and going to my family's which is an hour away.
I'm sure I will have more questions later thank yoy

Welcome to the board - it's an amazing place and you are sure to find the answers to any questions here.

My vet's official line is that I cannot ever miss any dosage. However, what they don't know won't hurt them - I have no-one else who can inject Sky if I'm not around for one of the shots. I can't give up my entire social life for her so every so often she does miss a dose. It hasn't hurt her. However it may differ depending on what insulin Willow is on.

Insulin is usually given every 12 hours or as close to that as possible

Most of the time, if we know we're going to be going somewhere and need to change shot times, we'll make small adjustments for the few days beforehand so that we stay as close to that "every 12 hours" as possible
