Gus is a 4-5 yr., large, long haired flame point, with beautiful blue eyes. That's Gus as my avatar!

He came to our small rural cat rescue and TNR group several years ago as a stray. He was adopted out, but returned a year ago in deplorable condition. Then in Sept. he was diagnosed with diabetes. His blood sugar is now controlled with 2 units of Lantus twice daily.

Unfortunately, Gus does not get along with most other cats. Our group does not have a shelter -- our animals live in foster homes. Gus lives with me, but because he does not get along with all of my cats, housing him can be difficult! He was adopted out again last month but again returned -- this time because of problems with other family cats. Our group is now flooded with kittens and nursing mothers. Housing Gus is a problem and he is not getting the human companionship he deserves.

He is posted on Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, our group's website and Facebook page and appears regularly in the local paper as the "pet of the week." But this is a small town and there has been no interest.

I am reaching out to all of you to help us find this boy the home he deserves. We will provide transport to wherever his future family may be. Thank you!
