My Tyler has been throwing up a fair amount, and his regular vet isn't being responsive. I tried an old vet he saw, who wouldn't get him in for 10 more days.
Today, he hasn't been eating much, and I tried tempting him with dry food, chicken, canned baby food meat. He doesn't seem in distress, but I am very worried. I gave him some subq fluids, an appetite stimulant (Mirataz), and force fed about 30cc of a cat food smoothie (watered down down cat food and baby food meat). So far, the food is staying down.
I am thinking of taking him to an emergency vet tomorrow (or possibly tonight) if he doesn't seem better, before his appt Thursday. What do you do or how do you find an emergency vet that can help a diabetic cat? I have gone thru so many regular vets who were clueless about diabetic cats.
I am in the Phoenix, AZ area, if anyone has any ideas.
His blood sugar is reading ok, though he was dehydrated.
