Is it safe to give a cat arthritis medication when she is on insulin.
D.B. is 11 and was diagnosed with diabetes one year ago, and as far as that goes she is doing really good.
But her right hip has arthritis and when the humidity spikes, she is miserable and it seems to be getting worse.
I love our vet, but as I found out when D.B. was diagnosed, unless you really do your homework, the vet can be wrong. They gave us "vet" cat food that smelled like puke, very expensive, and D. B. would not eat it. I scoured the Internet for 2 days and found one food that had all the requirements as the vet food and D.B. ate it. Fancy Feast (3 items) with low 2.5% carbs. I brought the Fancy Feast to the vet and he concurred it was OK.
So if anyone can provide information on the do's and don't of arthritis medication and diabetes, please let me know.
