Deciding what's best for my kitty

I was told I may get more information on this thread.

This morning I had a moment. Just really hit home after giving my boy his insulin.

"My baby Felix is doing great on his new medication. He was underweight and had gained 5 pounds after starting his insulin, and has gained even more since.

But I'm not okay. I'm a college student who just lost her job. I'm scared that I'm not who needs to have him, that he deserves a better chance. He's almost out of insulin, and I don't know if I'll have money by the time he needs it. And what about after that?

I don't know where to go from here. Please don't judge me.. Should I look for a rescue?
Where's a place I know he'll be taken care of? His insulin and feeding schedule? I can't let him go to someone who doesn't care, or know."

Yes, DCIN (Diabetic Cats in Need) is a great resource, you should check them out. They may be able to help with things like insulin and supplies or, in the worst case, helping you to regime Felix to a caring home. They are worth trying.
