Thank you to Simon (and Sam) for creating a wonderful new CD for DCIN as a fundraiser. And to Rebecca for allowing DCIN to promote it on FDMB.

You can read all about the CD on DCIN's blog here, as well as watch a video about it that DCIN's new FUNraising cat MIKEY! made. This is one of DCIN's two major FUNdraisers of the year.

The CDs cost $20 each, postage included (regardless of your country). The proceeds from this will go to DCIN's general fund, which is the fund DCIN primarily uses for its financial assistance cases.

What happened to the CD in memory of Jamie (and Boots) I know it was planned, but then didnt hear anything

I don't know about that one Mary. Simon didn't tell me this was in memory of (((Jamie))). If it is supposed to be, I can indicate that on the ones I have not yet burned.

I hope that everyone will want to support Venita's great work through DCiN. I really hope you like the new CD. If you're not a jazz lover then don't worry. This is lounge jazz and will be great for easy listening or background music when you invite your friends round.

It goes without saying that all of the proceeds from the sale of this CD go to support the work of DCiN. There are no administrative or recording costs folks. Every cent of your $20 goes to DCiN!

The CD for Jamie will happen but I want to do something that I believe would reflect Jamie's vibrant character. This CD is (intentionally) of a more laid back and easy nature. I have written some music that might be featured on a CD for Jamie but it's very much in early stages at the moment. This last year has been so busy ... Get married to Ann, children taking exams, Sam's new half-brother and becoming an uncle. So much has happened! We adopted two new cats, Chilli and Pepper. Chilli has been very poorly this week and is undergoing tests at the surgery as I type. Please join us in keeping your fingers and paws crossed for our little Chilli Billy

Here's my new idea for getting y'all to buy the Sounds Familiar CD. (I've only sold 25, and Auntie V asked me to sell 100.) First, I am extending this FUNraising promotion through June 3 to give it another weekend that I could post about it to you here on Facebook.
