Hi,
LeeLee has been on a daily dose of metacam for osteoarthritis for several months. Earlier this week I did some reading about metacam and decided I wasn't comfortable using it. My vet suggested Dasuquin. I asked if it was OK for a diabetic cat to take. She said it probably wasn't and to just keep an eye on LeeLee's BG. Personally, I would rather KNOW that it's not going to affect her BG before giving it to her. If it's going to be a problem, then why waste my time, money and LeeLee's health on it?
Does anyone know if Dasuquin is OK? Dasuquin joint supplements contain avocado/soybean upsaponifiables, glucosamine, chondroitin, and green tea. I think Dasuquin comes in different forms/flavours - not sure what my vet has, but I would imagine if they've made it tasty to cats, it might be higher in carbs?
Thanks,
Erin & LeeLee
