Well, its been 10 days since we started Bear and Smokey on wet food and tuna and tonight marks the 5th straight day of not having to give Bear any insulin. His health seems to be great and he is as active as he's ever been. He's back to his usual routines but occasionally drinks water more then I think he used to prior to his diagnosis. Besides that things are going great! Just wanted to stop by and give everyone an update.

Oh boy, I love seeing kitties go into remission like this from diet change alone!

You're doing great! Keep testing, and if Bear has 14 days of normal numbers like these then he officially is off insulin and diet controlled.

Even after the 2 weeks, don't be afraid to test every now and then. I test Bandit once a week or anytime I think something is off (like if he drinks out of his water dish, since he never drinks water, ever).
