We have been doing a curve today on Petunia and her numbers have barely changed at all.We started at 312 and fed her and.gave.her 2 units.of Pro Zinc insulin then at +2 hours she was 287. +4 @285 and +6 @302 She is due for another at 10:21,12:21 and 2:21am.Should I keep going and should I call the.vet about this.insulin in the morning ??Thank you this is my first post on this forum.

Welcome to FDMB.
Just a few questions to set the stage:
When was Petunia diagnosed?
How long have you been using ProZinc?
Did you start with 2 units, or have you started lower and increased?
What are you feeding her?
And congratulations on home testing her glucose!!! A lot of folks find that daunting. What meter are you using?

Petunia.was diagnosed July of 2013 she is on Pro Zinc and.started on 5 u.it's but we had to go down after.changing her to grain free kibble. She has been on 2 units for about a year. She no longer eats much kibble practically no kibble and gets Fancy Feast pate only. She gets 1/2 to 3/4 of a can 3 times a day and if she gets hungry we give her a 1/4 can.I don't think it is enough food because she acts hungry all the time. But she will eat until.She.throws up.She loves to eat and never ever turns down any kind of food.
We have been home testing for a year proper because she got so low she seized and nearly died.We have been home testing infreqtently ever.since.We.started out testing twice a day but she got so.stressed her hair started to fall out
The Vet put her on amutriotyline but it did.not help.About 2 months ago I woke in the middle of the.night and she was unconscious from hypoglycemia and we got her back with karo syrup and food mixed with karo.syrup.She has seemed fine but the Vet wanted a curve so we finally.so it.She would not do well at the.vet so we.did.It our selves and we have two tests left.to do.

It's interesting and a bit confusing (to me anyway) as to why her curve numbers so far seem high and flat, but she has been hypo those other times. I wonder what was different then...

Poor baby. Hugs to you both.

A flat curve like that can sometimes be due to a "bounce" or counter-regulatory hormones as the result of a lower number in a previous cycle. When my sugar boy Eddie was on ProZinc, he'd frequently have flat cycles like that after a lower number. It can also be not enough insulin. With a single flat curve like that, I think I'd be inclined to try to get some more numbers in the next day or two to see if there's some lower numbers happening somewhere before increasing the dose.
