Lily is on 1.5 units of Lantus 2x a day. I am not as good about testing as I used to be, but during a few spot checks last week I got some 300s, so I figured the vial went bad (they usually do about four months after purchase). Thanks to this board I decided to buy one pen (thank you, Sam's club!) and started that pen this week. Today I did a curve, and it was weird:

AMPS: 215
+2: 233
+4: 199
+6: 190
+7: 210

Edit: These numbers all from Relion Confirm

Re. today's food: She free-fed from a can of Friskies Liver and Chicken pate.

I'm really puzzled as to why her nadir is so high. Usually she has very good numbers. And she has brand new Lantus!

The only thing I can think of is, maybe she's reacting badly to the Liver and Chicken? My hubby bought that, but I usually stick to Mariner's Catch, Poultry Platter, Turkey, and Supreme Supper. The Liver and Chicken is 9 percent from carbs though--??

Any thoughts? Thank you! I plan to do another curve tomorrow but not feed Liver and Chicken.

Edit 2: Well, I started doing a second curve tonight, and things are looking better--PMPS 198, +2 170. So going in a much better direction. Dinner was Mariner's Catch, fwiw.
