Hi,
I got the phosphorus level in Metric - 2.3 mmo/L My chart from Tanya's says that is slightly over as
Between 1.3 and 1.9 mmol/L*
Between 4.0 and 6.00 mg/dl*
My Vet has 1.4 and 2.4 mmo/L as normal on her chart.
I will have the powdered binder by Monday if not today and question if I give any and how much. Cessan is 8 pounds.

Thanks for looking: Bonnie and Cessan

It is Aluminun hydroxide powder. Do I still use that chart? Or do I use something different?
Thank you for the bump up Jeanne and for the link WCF and Meowzi. Thank you! Bonnie

is it from thrivingpets.com? if it is, yeah, you can use the chart for reference. but please check with your vet for their thoughts on the dose before you start.

Hi! I have no idea where it came from but looks like what is advertised in Thriving Pets. It can't be sent into the country so it was brought by someone with a CRF cat when they returned to Sweden. I called the man who just sold it and he said he got it from this person in Sweden when he found out his cat had CRF but never got to use it as his cat died before he got it.
My Vet has no knowledge of the binders from outside of Sweden. She said I should follow what I was told by this group and she would be fine with it. I am calling her on Monday just to tell her what is going on.

Cessan is getting 50 cc's of saline through a syringe, every other day. BUT she is acting strange and sickly the day she should get the fluids. I am wondering if she shouldn't be getting it every day. She has always gotten it in the evening and seems better if she gets it while we are watching tv and talking and Roger pats her head etc and then she gets it without really knowing except for that darn big needle. I have contacted the big pet hospital here in Sweden but have not heard back. I will recall them as the needles are just to big. Like driving in a log. But back to her getting more fluids. I heard that with her Creatinine level being up ( on another post) that she is dehydrated and should get fluids daily. She is a Norsk Forest Cat so has long hair and I can't tell if she is dehydrated or not. My Vet pinches at the top of the head and she showed me how it took a bit to go back down but I look and haven't a clue. Her poo is dry hard little marbles so she sure isn't getting to much fluids. Wouldn't it be more normal if she was hydrated?

I remember when I was here every day how lovely all of you were I hope I am not being to much of a pest now. I have been really ill or so long that I have left pretty much everything on the pc and just get through the days doing what has to be done and it left very little time over. But now it is my babies life so I must learn all of this for Cessan. Today is our blood sugar day. Something she is not good at since I have only done one every 3 months for the last 4 years. She never gets used to it. But I know all the tricks and use them.
Thanks for the help you are giving me WCF and Meowzi! Bonnie
