Could someone take a look at Chocolate's SS? Especially today's....she went from 100something at nadir to 345 pmps? I tested her literally a few minutes after giving her insulin and it read 301...could it have changed that quickly or could the meter be a little screwy? It's a Relion I just got the other day. Could she possibly need a higher dose/or 3x a day schedule? I feel like a higher dose could be in order but then again she goes up so high from the nadir.

Meters are only required to be within 20% accurate. And your tests are well within that. So the Higher the BG the greater the difference that is considered acceptable.

Sorry I can't advise on your insulin or dose.

Hi Christina! and Chocolate of course,

I looked at her SS, and I think it's liver action that is pushing her up so quick. We might love seeing the blues, but her liver isn't liking it at all. I would say stick with the dose of .4 I think. She is very insulin sensitive it appears. Tiny dose gets big results. She does, at least on the AM cycles, seem to reach nadir a bit early, so going TID isn't out of the question. I think I would like to see her liver calm down a little bit before considering switching her schedule though. Might want to have the PZI group take a look by posting in that forum. I know at least two of the regular posters use a TID routine.

Carl
