Crash Course in Testing & Shooting (includes pics & videos)

I'm in the process of training a new cat sitter to take care of Sushi while I go on vacation next week. I thought I might pass on the instructions I emailed to her; they might be helpful for newbies:

Basically, there are 4 major skills to learn to care for a diabetic cat:
1. Obtaining blood
2. Testing blood
3. Drawing insulin
4. Giving insulin injection
The "Cat Instructions" attachment is a good step-by-step outline of what is involved. Here are specific resources for each step:

You'll also find detailed instructions with pictures in the attached "How to Test BG" document (this is a condensed version of one of the resources provided here I believe; can't remember which one).

Here's a video on step 3--Drawing Insulin; just watch the "Inject Air Into Bottle" & "Draw Insulin" segments (under the "Drawing Insulin" section) on the left--DON’T FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS TO REMOVE AIR BUBBLES
