Course of action for pancreatitis?

Hi everyone. My pal, Duncan, is 14 years old. He's had diabetes since he was 9. He was on Lantus for 4 years but now we control his blood sugar with diet alone.
I need help, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis. He is losing weight quickly despite feeding him more often. I'm giving him Pepcid AC to keep him from throwing up his meals. He is peeing like his blood sugar is off (giant), but it's fine. I know he's losing nutrients.
He's gone from 18 lbs to 14 lbs in a matter of 2 months. The vet diagnosed him and gave us anti-nausea pills but that is it...
Duncan, beat diabetes. I'll be damned if this takes him down.
Any advice you all can offer would be appreciated. I need to fatten this boy up!!
 
What is also given for pancreatitis is subQ fluids and pain meds.
Did the bloodwork show any other problems like thyroid or kidney problems?
 
Cerenia for nausea and vomiting helped Smokey through pancreatitis. Also the Buprenorphine for pain made a big difference. He was also put on metronidazole which is an antibiotic, anti inflammatory, some pain relief. He was on full doses for about 6 weeks. Now he is on maintenance doses.

Hope Duncan feels better.
