Could too much water impact BG?

I’m really trying to figure out why Howie can’t get out of the yellows and pinks despite another increase again. Would there be any reason why too much water intake would impact his BG (and he’s on fluids for ketones)? He gets about 6oz of water per 12 hrs mixed in his food...most of it is added to the food in his auto feeder so it doesn’t dry out. He used to drink out of his bowls but once I started putting water in his food, he has completely stopped drinking out of them. Prior to me adding all this extra water to his food, his BG was at least in the lower 200s. It has been helpful to add this water as he is a “toothless joe” so it’s been easier for him to lap it up with his tongue. I’ve also seen a bigger appetite again despite getting 2 cans (400 calories) every 24 hrs. I have no idea if there is a connection and I’m grasping for straws right now! We lucked out with one day (his first ever) in the blues last week when he came home from a vet appt (the techs fed him and gave him his shot). I talked to them to see if they administered it differently than I do, but we do it the same.

NOT an "expert" here but I dont think so. If hes prone to keytones they are worse than the diabetes...the more water the better. As long as hes lapping all of it up...
Hes only been on this dose for two days...I know its hard to be patient. :(

I've been staring at this question for 30 minutes trying to think if I've ever heard it before and the answer is no. Is there anything different in the litter box or any diarrhea? I've had lots of cats who never go near water once they've been switched to wet food, nothing unusual about that.

same here Zoe (non diabetic) hardly ever touches the nice clean bowl of water I so lovingly  place next to her food every morningo_O
Only canned food on her menu;):coffee:

He had bouts of diarrhea but I switched his food successfully to a new one without carageenan and guar gum and he's been good ever since (KNOCK ON WOOD!!)
