Baby appears to be "coughing" "wheezing" "hairball stuck" for about a week now. It is one or two times a day, sometimes just after I inject her Lantus. She never produces any vomit/hairball in these instances - but at unrelated times the past 3 or 4 days she is puking hairballs at night/phlegm in am. Her sugar is running a bit high for her too, what are your thoughts? We are going to the Vet in a few days because we are moving to Miami next month.

Appetite, Litterbox & Bathing herself is normal.

It could be anything: asthma, allergies, hairballs, worms, etc. Try to take a video of your cat coughing. Some vets find a video very helpful in determining a diagnosis. It's unlikely that a cat will cough for the vet in the office

I thought of asthma right away also. There are two great groups on Yahoo - Feline inhaled meds and feline asthma relief. Run things by them to cover all the bases. Vets don't see many asthmatic cats so they may not be up to speed on diagnosis and treatment options.
