Cosmo 6/19 - new dose 6/18 - AMPS 533, +3 522, +6 486, +9 522, PMPS 527, +2 517

Still no movement, even with the increase last night :arghh:

We are wondering if we might have gotten a bad batch of Lantus? We asked the vet today and insisted on picking up a new vial of fresh Lantus on Monday at our appt.

Any ideas?
 
There is a phenomenon we call New Dose Wonkiness, that causes temporarily higher numbers for the first couple cycles after an increase.

You are getting Lantus from the vet? I wouldn't do that. They often charge a lot more for it - just go to your regular pharmacy. I actually found Safeway pharmacy has the cheapest pricing around here - Superstore and Costco second best pricing.

Yes, from the vet.

With our remission kitty, I remember that the pharmacy only allowed us to buy a full box (6 vials). They refused to split it. Maybe this was just that pharmacy?

I noticed mention of Mr. Liver in the link to NDW. I would mention that Cosmo had slightly elevated liver enzymes on his May blood work. Is that something to consider?
 
Buy a box of 5 cartridges from the pharmacy. It should be more cost effective than buying from the vet.

Very normal in newly diagnosed cats. The liver plays a role in bouncing, not NDW. The post was on the two topics.
