Hi everyone,

Does anyone give their cat cooked chicken hearts? I tried giving them to Moritz raw, and at first he loved them. But then he started vomiting, and I'm wondering if the raw food wasn't too new an addition? Does anyone feed lightly/fully cooked chicken hearts and if so, is it best to just steam them? Will that affect their nutritional content?

Thank you!
Elena

Can't answer the nutrition question but I do feed my cats and dogs cooked chicken hearts along with chicken livers. I don't cook them a lot, just enough to get them good and hot thru and thru. Some of my cats don't care for either of them but others think it's the best thing since....well, sliced bread and kleenex! The dogs ALL love them. I offered them raw to the cats, they weren't interested at all. KT even ran away....

I used to give them hearts and gizzards (eeeeewwwww) and I'd microwave them lightly.
My cats are picky and they didn't love 'em but they if yours will eat them they are a good treat.
