Conversion: % phosphorous to mg phosphorous per kcal?

Hi everyone,

Is there a formula to convert % phosphorous on the basis of dry matter analysis (as listed on Tanya's CRF site here http://www.felinecrf.org/canned_food_usa.htm) to mg phosphorous per kcal?

1% dry matter analysis is about 250 mg/100kcal, so you want to stay under 1% on Tanya's list.

If you have a cat with CKD, you really want to a food with a higher quality protein source along with low phosphorus, and most of these are on this 2010 list: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8U...TkxOGM4NThk/edit?num=50&sort=name&layout=list.
