Im watching my parents cat for 5 days and was thinking of taking my diabetic cat over and staying there for the time,is diabetus contagious? I was planning on taking my litter box over for my cat,if she uses hers or his would it be contagious? Last thing i want to do is spread it to their cat,and thats if they get along? any thoughts?

Hmmm well they feed it dry and wet food,Im afraid my kitty would go for his food and then not want her food when i get back home?

That and their kitty probably eats higher carb food than your cat. Higher carb food would make your diabetic kitty have higher blood sugar levels and you want to avoid that. So, if you do take your kitty over, at your parent's house put out the food you feed at your home and take up (put away) the food that your parents feed. You can put the regular food back when you and your kitty leave.

And then maybe you could show your parents some information on the benefits of feeding cats low carb (wet or dry) foods. You'd be doing them a big favor as it may help them avoid health problems in the future.
