Is there something we can give her to loosen her stool that won't drive her numbers up? Yes she get plenty of water. We have several water bowls on each floor of our house so that she has access to water where ever she is. She is eating wet food twice a day. Yet her stool is dry and I thought maybe you guys might have some good suggestions - tips or tricks.

Miralax ,or you can get the generic ,it's cheaper It's a tasteless powder that you add to the wet food, make sure you add some water also. Mix it up good
A lot of cats here use it. The usual starting dose is 1/8 teaspoon twice a day. It helps keep the stool softer so it's easier to pass.

if 1/8 of a teaspoon makes her poop too loose then just cut back on it. Most supermarkets have their own brand ,or CVS, Walgreen's etc One is called Clearlax
It doesn't work immediately I'd say about 2 days
You you need to increase it give 1/4 teaspoon
Just see what works for her

Just want to say be sure it's
Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin in a can, or any other brand .It is just pumpkin, no seasonings or anything added. NOT PUMPKIN PIE FILLING
Maybe about a teaspoon twice a day
Always add water to her wet food

Welcome to the FDMB. The 2xs a day feeding is what vets tell us but diabetic kitty's need to eat several times a day, just like human diabetics. Alot of us here feed a bigger meal at both shot times & snacks throughout the day. I have 2 boys one sugar kitty & one not. I split a can of fancy feast between them at 6am shot time. I feed them half a can between the 2 of them 2-3hrs after AM shot. Then I feed them a can between the 2 of them at 1 130pm. Then they get a can between the 2 of them at 6pm shot time & again at midnight can between the 2 of them & we start over again the next day. Good luck with your kitty you are in the right place. Yes I always add more water to her wet food every time I feed her. She does not like pumpkin and will walk away from it. Going to try the Mirlax and see how that works out.

My boy doesn't like pumpkin either. The only way I can get him to eat it is by putting fortiflora on it. He takes 1/4tsp of Mirilax 2xs a day, when that quit working I added in pumpkin as well. He gets 1-2 tsps every other night & it has helped alot.
