Confusing blues

I was due to get a curve today and I started out with one but something came up with my dad's gf and I wasn't able to get my later hour test in. PMPS just came in at a very low blue and I'm not sure what's going on. She's all over the place.

Well that is surprising! Looks like Nala had a pretty long cycle (at least that's my guess).

Are you thinking curve tomorrow since today didn't work out? Hope everything is all right with your dad and his GF!

Looks like it was a long cycle today with the 298 at +2. Fern does this sometimes, Prozinc can last more than 12 hours so sometimes there is some overlap. I've learned when this happens to wait and test again, if I'm seeing a rise I will most likely give some sort of a dose.

Yeah I am doing a curve today instead. She's usually known for a late nadir, sure, but it's rare that the insulin lasts that long for her. She normally drops to nadir around the 9th hour and spends her last 3 climbing back up.

That was a long cycle! If that is a pattern, then you could consider shooting 13/11 so she'd have time to rise at night, and you could catch her at a lower point in the am.

I just did her +8 since I don't get a lot of those in and she's currently 103 right now. With that fact my guess is she will climb back up before PMPS. I may consider raising it to 2 units again and see what happens because she's coming up so high.
