17year old male on insulin for several years but occasionally he goes through a bout of vomiting clear liquid. Sometimes for 3-4 days but only once a day mostly early mornings. I make sure he has wet food all night long so he won't have an empty stomach but of course that's up to him. In the past I've checked his glucose level right after and found no indication of very high or very low. He does have some dementia (my diagnosis) and wonder if that may be the culprit or maybe anxiety associated with his age and medical conditions. Anyone ever deal with such or have input for us?

Empty stomach seems like the most likely issue to me (and like you said, that's up to him), but has he had blood work done in the past year or so that would have checked for signs of CKD (or is he exhibiting any other symptoms of CKD)?

Thank you Sullivan'sDad. I did some research on CKD (didn't recall what it was) and yes, vet has mentioned this to possibly be an issue down the line. Cat is also on Phos-Bind to help with current mild concern with his numbers. Grateful for the reminder and will have it checked into on next visit, soon.
