Hello, all. Well this summer after my darling Hobbs died we adopted another kitty, Ivy. I really missed having a cat around and I felt guilty that we had a home for a cat and there were so many that needed one. Ivy was posted on a rescue's FB page as "urgently" needing a home since her foster mom couldn't keep her much longer. She's the sweetest thing, a tuxedo cat, about 8 years old. Loves to be cuddled and knock things over.
ANYWAY... she's got food allergies. So far, we know she's allergic to chicken. Seems to do OK with turkey though. Right now her primary food is Nature's Variety LID Rabbit. Which she loves and does well on, but it's hella expensive. I'm testing out other proteins for her too to see what else she might or might not be allergic to. BUT does anyone have suggestions on chicken free cat foods? It seems like even food that's "flavored" something other than chicken often still has chicken in it. And I thought finding food for a CKD and diabetic cat was difficult!
Thanks, all!
