Willie, one of my civvies, just had a senior blood panel done and the vet says that he isn't in renal failure but that he has "renal insufficiency(sp?)" and has recommended some special foods (of course only sold at his practice) which I'm not so happy about.
His BUN was 50-vet said normal is anywhere from 11-36
the Creatine (? on sp) was .36-vet said normal was .6-.24
phosphorus was normal.
Does anyone have a cat with these issues? or
Does anyone here have an easier way to explain any of this to me?
Any food recommendations also???
