Hi all,

I just mainly lurk around here. I need prayers & the power of the boards good vibes. Dipstick is sick again, 1 year ago it was bad pancreatitus (sp) & now it started out as an uti, now its a full blown bladder infection, inflamation bad & crystals. Not that it is ever a good time for them to get sick, but my MIL died two weeks ago & the memorial & graveside services are this weekend an hour from where we live. Plus my DH & I play certain red characters in a parade on Sat that we can't miss. I've been having bad aniexety attacks again & BP is way up so I'am back on meds myself.

I didn't get much sleep last night (didn't take my meds) since I was keeping an eye on Dipstick to see if she pee'd, pooped or vomited & if she was eating or drinking. I was afraid I was going to the ER vet with her last night. They have her on 2 antibiotics & bup shot for pain. I go in first thing on Sat AM for another bup shot to make it thru while we have our engagements. They also want to start her on some meds to help the crystals? Plus they want me to feed S/P food, funny thing she's not touching it, but is eating her regular FF.

Sorry I'm rambling, fuzzed brain. On a good note I'm not worried about the cost right now.

I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions for me or the cat.

Thanks all.

She's eating a little, but not her normal amount. She did just poop a bit ago & it looked good. She is still peeing tiny amounts. The clumping litter gets as big as my litter finger on the end to the size of my thumb. So far she isn't dehydrated.

Re:update civie uti, imflammed bladder & crystals

Just got back from the vet again. They gave her another bup shot to get her thru the weekend. They also expressed her anal glands since she was doing the butt scoot across the bed (white comforter of course) & vet said it was a good thing they did, pretty full, she didn't need that problem too. They want me to start adding glucosamine to all the cat foods for their urinary health. She is eating some food with added water, still not her normal amount, but is staying hydrated. She didn't have a fever anymore so the new antibiotics are working.

The vet knows I have a full & stressful weekend & told me don't worry about her, she is holding her own. She is peeing even if it isn't much at a time & getting it in the litter box. I did move a litter box upstairs in the middle of the hallway for her to use & the other cats are leaving it just for her.

They think what may have caused this was her vaccinations, already started down the path of the uti & with the added stress coming from me with the family situations that have occurred lately (which is another long story for later.)

Thanks for all the support & prayers.
