Cinco is doing so well. He finally figured out the feeder, so the last two nights he got his 3:00 am feeding, although we can't be sure just when he got it. The lower AM numbers indicate it was in the right time window, though. Just wondering if it's normal for the numbers to trend lower as the trial goes on? He's been consistently in the high 80s and 90s and now he's moving into the low 80s and 70s and even a 68. Since he's becoming more active, we decided to slightly increase the amount we were feeding him, and we switched from every three hours to every four starting yesterday evening. That seems to be working well, although it's early to tell. One reason is our feeder is really old and can't be set for anything less then four hour increments. We have three of them and didn't want to get a new one unless the four hour schedule didn't work for Cinco, but (fingers crossed), it's looking like it'll be okay. Am I testing often enough or too often? I'm trying not to hover, and I'm getting a little less stressed than I was when we first took him OTJ. He's moving around the garage more, jumping on things and even playing with a catnip mouse I got him - talking up a storm while he does it. Does my heart so much good. He wants to come in the house and I've brought him in twice when Harvey (my aggressive male Abby) was asleep in another room. He explored a bit, then climbed into my lap and went to sleep. He's a real sweetie.
