Hi Everyone! I usually post in LL, but figured health may be better for this question. Her glucose is still good in remission, yesterday it was 81. But with the CKD I am now having nausea issues with Chyna  Heres my last post after we came home from the vet:http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=97535
Some background: About a month ago she started not eating much and I started one capsule of slippery elm bark (1/2 cap twice daily) and she went right back to eating all her meals. They are split into 9 portions over 24 hours mixed with water and she gets B vitamins as well.
I took her to the vet on Monday for her 3 month bloodwork. They had me bring her back Tuesday since her BUN, CREA and Phos were above normal and she was on IV for 32 hours, I took her home Wednesday evening and her levels were back in normal ranges from the IV. Labs SS are in my signature.
She seemed to be feeling ok, ate food right away. Thursday we started the Azodyl and Epakitin that we were given by the vet, and then Friday she started licking her lips, eating a few bites and walking away, and looking sad. I've finger and spoon fed her some, and she will eat just not much at once or all her meals. No vomiting yet. Finally last night I gave her a 1/4 tablet of Pepcid AC in a pill pocket, I've never given it before. She ate a bit overnight but is still licking lips/washing her face. I spoon fed her breakfast with slippery elm bark in it.
I'm not sure what else to do or why the nausea is suddenly there after the vet/IV or if it's a coincidence? Does Azodyl or Epakitin cause nausea? I think I saw it can cause constipation so I have her some coconut oil. She wouldn't take the Azodyl this morning and I didn't use the Epakitin overnight or today since I thought maybe that was why she was refusing to eat with that in her food, if it has a taste to it. She didn't eat much if anything at the vet, so maybe it's from empty stomach coming back to eating...she did poop since then but not a lot. I'm just hoping maybe someone has used these or has advice, I'm at wits end. I posted on Tanyas support group too. I'm probably going to call the vet to see if he knows but was hoping for words of experience with these first. Thanks
