Christmas tree nose?

Hello!

Lily is of course drinking out of the Christmas tree base in preference to her water bowl. She did this last year as well with no evident problems but the last couple of days we've noticed she's got a slightly puffy nose. It's just a bit shiny where it meets her fur and her little pink suede nose is a little puffier looking. No stuffiness that I can detect so just external. Could it be pine resin related?

She's sleeping under the tree too. Just another of her weird FD related hiding places! We caught her hiding behind the toilet twice this week...

Thanks

Liz

Have you added anything to the Christmas tree water? It's not good for cats to drink the water. Trees from tree lots could be dosed with fertilizers, preservatives, herbicides, pesticides or other chemicals.

I didn't put anything in it but I'll put a makeshift cover on the bowl to discourage her. Possible can put tin foil or similar under there to discourage her sleeping there if I need to.
