Chloe Update

Going out on a limb here, maybe could try giving Chloe a fat 2 units? I put the plunger right on the other side of the unit mark when I measure a "Fat" dose.
I would try it when you can get a +3/+4 test.
It's hard to say she needs more insulin without mid cycle tests but it looks like on the higher PS you could give a little bit more.
Anyone disagree?
Thoughts?
 
Hard to say. That curve cycle showed a green to a black on 2u, which normally we would say not to increase with a green nadir like that, but since the duration was so super short, I'm inclined to agree wtih you that a smidge more might be a good idea.

That's what made me second guess the idea of increasing.

If you are getting the lantus soon, it might be best to just hold the 2 units. If you do decide to give a fat 2 units, don't do it unless you can get more tests. If she goes too low, she will end up back into the black numbers anyway.
 
I really don't want you to go another weekend without any update on Lantus. I'd email the vet tonight and explain how important you feel this is, and ask for a paper script and say you will be there tomorrow at X time to pickup. You can email to script or fax--both are on the website.

I'll call Mark's again. The vet said she already faxed the scrip. I'll call again today.
 
I called Mark's and they got the prescription. Everything's in order, but when I went to pay, they only accept Visa and American Express. I don't have either. Calling the bank tomorrow.
 
What a headache.
Does your bank card not have a visa logo on it? I don’t think it should matter if it is in fact a “visa credit card” or “visa debit card”. I use my visa debit card as credit all the time.

I took a mental health day today and will look for my debit card. I may have to go to the bank.

I don't know who your financial institution is, but Wells Fargo will give you a temporary debit card that can be used like a regular bank card.

Are you considering just remaining on Prozinc due to the havoc?
