GA Chloe (GA) has earned her wings

My oldest cat Chloe earned her wings this morning. Earlier this week she was diagnosed with liver cancer. She was 17 years old. No matter how many times I have had to do this, saying goodbye to our pets never gets easier.

She has joined Rascal, Witn, Spot, Tiger, Mischief, Ricky, Callie, Bandit and Sculley on the other side of the bridge.

Fly free sweet Chloe. I love you and will miss you so much.

I have been thinking of you since reading of Chloe’s diagnosis yesterday. I feel for you and well know the raw tenderness of loss. Chloe got to spend her days in your loving care and companionship. You got to spend them in her special company.

It is an odd combination of sensations to be grieving and grateful. I have shed so many tears over the losses of those with whom I’ve shared my life. My life would have been so much lesser without them.

Here’s to you Chloe, warm sunshine and all your favorite things, dear one.
 
If it ever got easier we'd be doing something wrong. We all know that day is coming from the first minute they come into our lives.

I'm so sorry. There are never any words that make it any easier even though we may know we made a decision based in how much we care.
 
I am so sorry Lisa I read your post from yesterday. You were there with her to comfort her and love her. Fly high sweet Chloe you will be missed cat_wings>o:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh, I am so very sorry about Chloè. You are right, it never does get any easier. Each of our fur babies is special and unique. We love them and pour our hearts and lives into them. They add so much to our lives. It hurts to say goodbye. You have my deepest sympathy.
 
So sorry to hear the news of Chloe's passing. She had a great mama that took great care of her and when the time came to ease her pain, you took the pain upon yourself to release her to fly free.

There will be lots of old friends at the Bridge to meet her and keep her company until the time when you're reunited with her forever. cat_wings>o
