~O) Morning all!!
:o 493 !! Oh my! Fed her 1/2 can FF and shot 2.5 units and then fed another 1/2 can spiked with her AB
She was a little high last night at PMPS however with all the noise and banging going on around here I was not surprised.
This AMPS however was a shock! All I can think is that last night at about 1:30 the dog started barking non stop because of a lightning storm. At 2 am I finally got up and put the dog in his thunder shirt and put him on the couch with me and we watched Perry Mason until 3:30 when she started walking all over the couch wanting something to eat. Maybe all that dog barking shot her nerves! I know that mine were shot!! Not only do I have to put up with the dog barking I have to put up with the DH complaining about the dog barking!! Going to be another day of noise making and banging. I do hate it when the DH decides to do home improvement!! @-)
I am also thinking about going by the vets office tomorrow and asking for doggie downers and kitty calm pills to drug them both up on the 4th of July.
I have a bottle of Bach's Rescue Remedy that I have used on both of them however it does not seem to me that it works. Especially not on the drooler.
Any thoughts on this from anybody? I have never tried to drug Chicken Little before. Think it will do any good?
Have a tiggeriffic Tuesday!

First of all breathe my friend. Cats are prone to high numbers when excited so the lightning could have brought that on. Either way, you gave insulin to bring it down which is a good thing. As for what to give them for calming, I have not a clue. Never have used any drug for that purpose on my pets except for one dog years ago was on Prozac for a while due to separation anxiety. That drooler ate an entire couch! :o

Hugs and try to have a good day and get a nap in if you can! I-) I-) :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

I'm sure that the stress is part of it, Terri. But you also had a nice yellow amps yesterday and she might have had a lower nadir to bounce from? Some kitties have a higher flatter cycle after a lower one, like Simon is doing off and on.

I use Rescue Remedy for myself.

This is what I notice when I use it, if I take the recommended dose 20 to 30 minutes before I walk into a stressful situation it works well. If I take it after the stress has set in I need to take double the amount and wait 30 minutes for it to work.

For cats and dogs I've heard that rubbing it onto the inside of their ear works.
