Well the horrible dental day is done!! CL is home and is starting to act like her normal self. I did not take her BG today. The vet told me that before they did her dental they checked it and he said that it was 600 something. The vet came out and talked with me before I left and he said that it was 600 something. He looked beat so I did not make him go get the actual number. I heard 600 something and that flipped me out! She had never been that high before but I'm sure it was due to being scared. He said that her blood work looked good except her liver reading was a bit high but that was to be expected with her BG being so high. Does that sound right??
When I got her home she was starving so I fed her a Fancy Feast Appetizer and then shot with 2.5 units. She has been drinking a ton of water and was still hungry so I fed her 1/2 can FF mixed with water, like soup.
They also took a x-ray of her paw however he said that he could not tell if she had arthritis or not from the x-ray. I told him that if she had not improved with the limping after 4-6 weeks on the cosequin then I would bring her back.
Im soooo happy that her dental is done!! I've been a wreck all day because of it!! I saw today what it would be like in a house with no kitties and let me tell you it was awful!! There was the cutest kitten in the waiting room that they were trying to find a home for and I almost brought it home with me!! It was a cutie and hard to resist! If I did not have CL to take care of I can tell you I probley would have!!
