It really is one heck of an incision. My husband is still in Philly in grad school and he got sick to his stomach just looking at the pic, so I guess it's good here's not here right now.
Feline vaccine associated fibrosarcoma is a VERY aggressive kind of cancer that sends out little "tentacles" of cancer all over, so it is super important to be REALLY aggressive when treateing a suspected case. If it is VAS, it is very likely that even with radiation, it could grow back in 6 months or a year and we have to do it all over again. nailbite_smile Hopefully, Chicken will be spared all of this and it will not be VAS, but that is definitely what they think it is.
I just gave her some Clavamox and Buprinex for pain and turned out the light. She is in a small bedroom with a bed and heating pad, so hopefully she'll sleep until I get up at 5:30 a.m. to dose her again.
I really don't know what I'd do right now if Sue was still getting insulin on top of this. I think I would just run away!!!!!!
