Hello,

It has been a while since I posted. Chelsea has been doing well. I have been testing her 2x daily (mostly) . I have attached that past 2 weeks. When she was diagnosed, I switched her to wet food (friskies under 10 carbs) , and she eats a 1/2 can 2x a day.

What does everyone think? Am I making the right decisions when I do shoot?

Thanks for your help!

Hi jmoran

It's good to see Chelsea is down in the blues and greens for the most part.

On the days where there is no entry for insulin does that mean you are not giving Chelsea any insulin at all?
Have you tried feeding her some Friskies brands that are under 5% carbs to see if her BG readings will go down even further?

Remember, target BG range for a FD cat is 50 to 120. Looks like you're almost there and if you are managing through diet alone (and no insulin) you may be able to get to that range by just decreasing the carbs in Chelsea's food a little further.

Keep up the great work!

Yes, that is correct. I was not shooting if she was under or near 200. And yes , I do give her flavors that are under 5%. Looks like I need more guidance with these numbers. :?:
