Hey guys! It's been a while since I've posted at all. Between just normal life getting in the way and us recently losing our doggy of 12 years Riley to cancer just haven't kept up on posting. Cooper is still on insulin and my vet had been extremely hands off (haven't heard from them or even taken Cooper since his last appointment back in December of 2022 I believe). I am actually getting ready to take him to the vet we used to take our dog to as I feel they will be more involved and maybe have a better gameplan. I'm also looking for some advice:
I have been still doing Cooper's spreadsheet and kind of adjusting his insulin as I felt it needed but mostly sticking to the rukes of lowering/raising insulin and it just doesn't seem like I can get him to stabilize at all. I think at times 3 units is his magic dose but then he eventually drops dangerously low and I have to drop him. Then one day he will be high in the upper 200s lower 300s then the next he's in the 100s. Do we think this may be a sign of needing to try a new insulin or maybe new type of food?
