? Checking for scar tissue

Hello!

We'd like to check if our cat Hansel has scar tissue in his neck from the injections.
Sometimes it's hard to find the right spot and we'd like to doublecheck that we didn't inject too much in one place.

I can't really find info on it on the forum. Can we feel it on his skin or do we need to get his neck groomed?

Thanks for taking your time to read

I was treating my cat's diabetes for 6.5 years. I shot pretty much in the same area the entire time. I never had a problem with scar tissue developing.

You can alternate the injection site. Since insulin is given subq, you can technically inject anywhere on the body as long as you can tent up the skin. The neck scruff is the most easily accessible site and most cats aren't bothered with being poked there. I inject around my cat's left shoulder since the skin there tents easier than on the neck scruff (oddball cat :p).
